Hair Care Routine



Hair care routine is as important as skin care. You just need to find what natural products work for you the best. Find your hair type or texture first; straight, wavy, curly or kinky?
But there are some tips which work for all hair types:-
  • Don't wash your hair everyday. I wash my hair once or twice a week with lukewarm water. Don't use hot water or it can dry it out.
  • Always moisturize your hair by using conditioner. I saw alot of people skipping conditioner. But please don't ever do this. Our hair needs nourishment and hydration.
  • Pick any good hair serum according to your hair type and apply after every hair wash on damp hair. It makes your hair look fresh, vibrant and healthy. I use Argon hair serum.
  • Avoid using heat tools on daily basis. Go natural where possible. Try to use these damaging tools occasionally like for special event but dont forget to apply heat protection spray.
  • Use a wide tooth-comb to detangle and avoid pulling hair.
  • Get regular trims. Getting hair cut every 2 to 3 months is very beneficial for healthy hair.
  • Make sure you are getting enough Protein, Iron, Vitamins and Omega-3 fatty acids in your diet.

My Weekly Hair Care Routine:-



Coconut oil is my favourite ingredient in my hair masks. It is not only beneficial for hair but it smells so good and you dont feel greasy at all. Following are some of my hair care recipes which I apply on my hair weekly:-

Week#1: Combine 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 egg and 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a bowl. Leave it on for atleast 1 hr and wash it off with a good shampoo and conditioner.

Week#2: Combine 3 tbsp yogurt and 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a bowl. Leave it on for atleast 1 hr and wash it off .

Week#3: Combine 2 tbsp of coconut oil and 2 tbsp aloevera gel in a bowl. Leave it on for atleast 1 hr and wash it off . I use natural gel extract at home. You can use the processed one as well.

Week#4: Extract onion juice by using blender or juicer. Keep it in any spray bottle. Mix it with coconut oil and apply it for an hour. It is very good for hair growth.

My Monthly Hair Care Routine:-

Deep Conditioning:



Deep conditioning is very important once a month. It provides extra nourishment, smoothness and shine to your hair. Pick any good conditioner according to your hair type and apply it on the length of your damp hair. Leave it for an hour and wash it off without shampooing your hair. Avoid shampoo for atleast 2 to 3 days.

  3. Very good post! Thanks for visiting my blog. I haven't travelled to another blog for years. My circle of bloggers seemed to move to Facebook and I carried on for my own amusement and for connection with the few who do still silently read but were never bloggers themselves. I'm so glad now that I did not stop because our blogs become journals that we ourselves enjoy returning to more than anyone else!
